This compost bin features a 1.5 inch thick wall insulated with polytyrine, which protects against cold weather therefore you can compost in the colder months as well. The extra insulation on this composter conserves heat, which in turn helps the material inside break down quickly.
When it comes to aeration, the garden compost bin has a patented system known as the "aeration lung." This system promotes aerobic breakdown of organic material. Because of this, you don't have to turn the compost inside. All you have to do is place your nitrogen and carbon rich material into the bin, and as the breakdown will start to occur.
Like many other compost bins, there is a base at the bottom that can be used to collect compost tea (technically, it's actually compost leachate) for you to use as additional fertilizer for your lawn or garden. There is an outlet at the bottom which will let you easily remove the compost tea from the bin.
